Built for the trade.

AmpShift exists because the EV transition shouldn't leave independent workshops and builders behind. We're building the shared resources, tools, and safety infrastructure that make EV work accessible to anyone with the skills and motivation.

The story

More EVs are hitting the road every year, and most independent workshops aren't set up to work on them. It's not a skills problem — most mechanics can learn this work. The problem is access to the right training, engineering documentation, and technical information.

We started talking to independent workshops in 2024 and kept hearing the same thing — they wanted to do EV work but didn't know where to start. The training was hard to find, the engineering documentation didn't exist for their use case, and the regulations were confusing.

So we built AmpShift to pull all of that together in one place. Accredited training with quizzes and certificates, a full EV conversion Design Tool with 30 donor vehicles and compatibility-checked components, compliance document generation, a build comparison tool, a vehicle Safety Register for emergency responders, a workshop finder with quote requests, and a supplier marketplace — all available across six regions.

We serve workshops and builders across six regions — Australia, UK, EU, US, New Zealand, and Canada — with region-specific content, local currency pricing, and compliance guidance tailored to local regulations.

The platform

What we've built.

Accredited training

Region-specific training modules for mechanics, workshop owners, and DIY builders — with quizzes, progress tracking, and downloadable certificates across 6 regions.

EV Conversion Design Tool

Step-by-step configurator with 30 donor vehicles, compatibility-checked components, cost estimates, validation warnings, and BOM/compliance PDF generation.

Compliance document generation

Auto-generated LV1 compliance checklists from build selections, VSB 14 documentation, and state-by-state modification approval guides.

Build comparison

Side-by-side comparison of saved builds — specs, cost, weight, range, and advantages highlighted for informed decision-making.

Safety Register

Vehicle registration system for emergency responders. Stores HV system details, isolation procedures, battery information, and hazard notes.

Workshop finder & quotes

Browse certified workshops, send quote requests with builds attached, and track responses. Workshops receive customer referrals through the network.
